He was a great bowler with an average of 200+. During these early years Phil acquired a love for golf that afforded him much enjoyment throughout his life.

He graduated in 1970 with a B.B.A., and with a M.P.A. in 1971. Sometime during these years, Phil became a devoted fan of Leon's Garage when his car broke down and Leon drove an hour to pick him up in the middle of the night.

Phil worked as a CPA for various firms, mostly in the Houston area, for much of his adult life. For the past 20 years, Phil has been living in Teague, Texas. During this time he cared for his ailing mother Corin Forke and his third wife, Nancy. He played golf. He discovered antiques and china. He began selling on eBay in Aug 2001 and acquired an eBay Feedback score of 822 with 100% positive feedback. He courted and loved and married again in 2008.
